three layouts technique driven workshop!!!

I invite you to come fly with me in this class where we will spread our creative wings and dip right into the wonderful world of mixed media. Create pages with intense colors and rich texture. Have a play with ink color blocks, structuring mediums, gold mica flakes, and metallic embossing powders. We will also be using canvas, stamps, laser cut doily papers, and watercolor papers. Your kit will include beautiful products from BasicGrey and our mediums will include products from Derwent, Golden Acrylic, Lefranc & Bourgeois, Grumbacher, and Tattered Angels.

We will create a total of three layouts in this class. Two of which will be technique heavy plus one layout that you can either do in class or finish at home.

“Palette of Memories”

Transform an artist’s paint palette into your own creative canvas. I invite you to join me in this beautiful world of velvety soft trims, fabric blooms, wooden clocks, and vintage sparklers. Have a play with another medium – “Glass Bead Gels” and watch it transform into a colorful textured background with the use of metallic pigment powders.

In this class, you will get to work with beautiful products from Webster’s Pages and Prima Products, Glass Bead Gel Mediums, Ranger Products, Tattered Angels Glazes, Golden Acrylic Mediums. You will also learn techniques using Ultra thick embossing enamels. At the end of this class you will have a unique piece of art that you will be proud to display in your home or craft space.

“Dreaming in Watercolor”

Artful Canvas and 12 x 12 Layout on watercolor paper

Immerse yourself in the wonderful world of color and texture. Discover how easy it is to create watercolor backgrounds and create impasto texture right on your canvas.

Have you ever wondered how you can utilize color and texture to make your projects stand out? This is the class for you. We will be working with different mediums and you will learn how it reacts to different surfaces. In this class you will be required to bring your own palette knife and you will experience first hand how to create texture that beckons you to not only look but also touch. We will be busy working with distress stains, paint glazes, gesso, gold mica flakes, gold dust, and one of my favorite texture mediums… fiber paste!

The class kit will include beautiful products from Webster’s Pages and Prima Marketing.The mediums supplied in class will include products from Golden Acrylic, Tattered Angels, Jo Sonja, Grumbacher, and Ranger Products.

I am very excited about this class and I was genuinely pleased with the results. I can’t wait to share this class with you! We will create art on a 8 x 10 mounted canvas, and a 12 x 12 layout on watercolor paper. So get ready to dream in watercolor! I’ll see you in class!
